Living Nutrition at for the Ageless

Living Nutrition produce a fantastic range of supplements containing the best natural ingredients. All of their products are made from certified organic products using traditional methods.

They also conduct research about their ingredients and fermentation methods. They have devised their own version of a kefir-kombucha style fermentation process and used it to create supplements that have increased bioavailability and lots of enzymes and nutrients.

Cognitive Blend

This particular supplement is their cognitive blend to boost brain health. It contains a blend fermented herbs and spices including: Holy Basil, Gotu Kola, Green Tea, Baobab, Turmeric and ginger. These are combined with organic lion’s mane mushroom and mixed into a herbal base of dandelion leaf, fennel seed and nettle leaf.

What is the Lion’s Mane mushroom?

Lion’s mane mushroom is a wonderful mushroom that looks like a huge mass of icicles or thick flowing locks. It has a long history of medicinal use as well being used in lots of very tasty recipes.

It is also a nootrope. This is substance that improves your cognition and brain health without any ill effects. There have been several studies around this fungus that have found that it can sharpen your focus and may even reduce long term brain degeneration.

What do you get?

Each bottle comes with 60 capsules and the recommended dose is 1 to 3 per day. A bottle costs £27.99 with some variation depending on where and when you get it.

I’ve been taking two capsules each day; one in the morning and one in the evening. For a month’s worth, I think that’s good value and measures up to many other supplements.

My experience

I really like the range of beneficial ingredients and Living Nutrition’s commitment to creating natural and organic blends. Because the ingredients come from whole foods and not from extracts I know that I’m getting the benefits of all of the compounds present within each plant.

Each capsule is about the size you would expect and has a very pleasant aniseed taste as you wash it down with water. With this kind of supplement it’s hard to tell what’s the effect of the supplement and what is just happening anyway. However, since taking ‘cognition’ regularly, I have had a burst of creativity and productivity.
